SMACO Pipe End Facing and Chamfering Machines are fully automatic for both end-pipe facing. Designed for receiving pipe directly from the mill, it includes auto-transfer for both end pipe facing.
The System consists of 2 facing machines with individual automatic pipe transfer and alignment system. The separate transfer system arrangement allows pipe storage in between the facing machine while tool-change and setting is carried out on one machine without affecting the operation of the other machine. |

This arrangement minimize overall tool changing time. The facing machine and pipe transfer system are mounted onto a common base that is pre-aligned, pre-piped and pre-wired for easy site installation.
Machine capacity range between 1/2" to 16" pipe diameter with flexible pipe handling system custom-designed to suit standard or variable pipe length requirements.

MACHINE FEATURES
- Rotary facing head driven by variable speed drive.
- Facing head equipped with 3 carbide inserts for internal, external chamfering and facing of tube end as well as quick change facing head available for off-line tool change and tool setting.
- Complete facing head and pipe clamp assembly mounted on linear sliding base for head movement, electrical or hydraulic driven, or cam mechanism design with fast forward head approach and facing feed.
- Pipe transfer system consist of pick-up device, rotary arm pipe transfer and alignment rolls fully automatic and synchronized with head movement for facing.
- Matching high production requirement, double pipe end facing machine is available for 2 pipes end facing at the same time. System consists of 2 facing machine, each with double rotary facing head.
- Pipe transfer for double pie by walking beam with either one set for both facing machines or individual transfer for each machine similar to single pipe facing machine arrangement.
- For bigger pipe facing machine, different pipe transfer and handling system including lifter carriage and conveyor chain are available for various requirements.
